This is my first year in fantasy, part of a 16-team deep league with some wonky scoring.
We start two IDP players each week, any position. Defensive scoring as follows (solo tackle-heavy): 1 point, Solo Tackle 0.25 points, Assisted Tackle 1 point, Pass Defended 3 points, Interception 2 points, Sack Forced Fumble, 1.5 points Fumble Recovered, 1.5 points Safety, 3 points TD, 5 points My roster includes Lavonte David, Reshad Jones, and Jamie Collins. Paul Worrilow was just dropped last week, and there are a number of solid options available on waivers. I could fill a bench spot or drop either Collins or Jones to make room for any of the following: Paul Worrilow Chad Greenway Jerrel Freeman Thomas Davis Josh Mauga Eric Berry Donald Butler J.T. Thomas K.J. Wright Nigel Bradham Sio Moore Preston Brown Who should I focus on picking up for ROS and playoffs? Anyone on the list worth dropping one of my current players for? Thanks for the help! |

I'd grab greenway, hes back to being a weekly elite LB now that his health issues are behind him. Worrilow is tackles only and Collins is showing hell get just as many as Worrilow, I'd keep Collins. LBs are usually more safe than safeties but Jones has been on fire so him or Worrilow is kinda a toss up to me right now, although I'd probably leave to worrilow if I can play 3 LBs in your league.

Just noticed Sio Moore on the list, take away the injuried weeks, hes been really good, I like Sio just slightly over Worrilow and Jones.

no way is Greenway better than Worrilow. Greenway's numbers the last 3 weeks are inflated a little by 2 nice matchups and 1 amazing matchup vs. Buffalo and Worrilow is one of the best in the league. I would definitely drop Reshad Jones for Worrilow just because a pretty much any LB2 is going to be more reliable that even the best of safeties. I really like Collins, with the pats playing almost every snap in a 4-2-5 with Collins lining up over the middle and the pats mixing up which 4 of the front 6 they pass rush each play, Collins has a ton of tackle opportunity and decent amount of sack opportunity. I would probably keep Collins over Greenway based on upside, but its more personal preference.

Thanks for all of the input and insights!
I was outbid on Worrilow ($200 season budget, one guy bid $25) and Moore was also snatched up. Greenway's numbers do seem inflated based on a few good matchups. I think I'll run with Lavonte David and Reshad Jones this week, hopefully Megatron back means more pick and tackle opportunities for Reshad! This gives me another week to give a few of these LBs on waiver a chance to prove their worth. |
